How every service begins
Every watch that arrives at Temperidas goes through the same first step: a quiet assessment at the bench. We look at the case, the crown operation, the crystal, and — where accessible without disassembly — the movement. We note what we find and tell you about it before any work begins.
The assessment is not a formality. It sometimes reveals that a watch needs less than the owner assumed — or occasionally more. Either way, you know the full picture before committing to anything. Work proceeds only when both parties have agreed on what is to be done and at what cost.
Once work is underway, you are welcome to ask for a progress note at any time. For extended overhauls, we contact the owner if anything unexpected comes to light mid-service. Nothing additional is done without a second round of agreement.
Service 01
Quartz Battery & Seal Service
Battery replacement with cleaning of the contacts and renewal of the case seals, followed by a basic water-resistance check. A simple, affordable visit for everyday quartz watches. Turnaround is usually same day for standard models.
This service is suited to any quartz watch that has stopped or is running slowly, and to owners who want to know the seals are fresh before wearing the piece near water. The battery we fit is the correct type and size for your movement. Contact surfaces are cleaned of any corrosion before the new cell is seated.

Service 02
Bracelet & Case Refinishing
Hand refinishing of cases and metal bracelets to revive brushed and polished surfaces, with re-sizing and pin replacement as needed. For wearers who want a tidy, well-kept look without altering the watch's character. Each piece is matched to its original finish lines.
This is not a mechanical service — it is work on the exterior of the piece. It suits watches where the movement is running well but the case has accumulated scratches or the bracelet has lost its crispness. The aim is always to restore, not to transform: we do not over-polish or create a uniform high shine across surfaces that were originally brushed.

- Hand refinishing of case flanks, lugs, and bezel
- Bracelet link refinishing (brushed / polished matched to original)
- Re-sizing and worn-pin replacement
- Clasp inspection and adjustment

Service 03
Collector's Overhaul
A full bench overhaul of a more complex movement, including chronograph or calendar work where present, with detailed measurement before and after. Suited to enthusiasts maintaining a treasured piece. Includes a documented condition record and gentle break-in observation.
This is Temperidas's most comprehensive service and the one most suited to mechanical pieces that are worn regularly or kept as part of a collection. The movement is fully disassembled, inspected component by component, cleaned ultrasonically, and reassembled with fresh lubricants applied at every friction point. Chronograph and calendar complications are serviced within the same work order rather than set aside.
